About Us

Little Diva Rescue is an all volunteer, foster based, dog loving organization.  We are a 501(C)3 non-profit dog rescue located in Stevenson Ranch, California.  Although we LOVE all dogs, Chihuahuas are our thing!

We take the time to rehabilitate un-socialized, abused, fearful and aggressive dogs. We have a wonderful dog trainer, Zachary, that works with us.

All of our dogs live with loving foster families while they are waiting for their forever homes.  If you can open your home and heart to one of these Chi's please complete the Foster Application below.

Adoptable dogs

Little Diva Rescue was formed after seeing countless Chihuahuas overlooked simply because of the number of Chi’s in California shelters.

In an effort to help these awesome little Chi's become more adoptable, Little Diva Rescue pulls those that need a little extra attention and focus to help them prepare for a happy life in forever homes of their own.

Delta Airlines DART (Delta Animal Rescue and Transport) plays an integral part in the rescue process.
You can read about DART here!

Adoption fees are $300.  Each dog is spayed/neutered, receives vaccines, microchip, dental and a comprehensive examination by our veterinarian.

An initial application must be submitted prior to meeting any of our adoptable Chi’s and an extensive home check as well as an adoption contract must be approved for an adoption to be initiated.

One of Our Rescues

Peepers, aka Gypsy, aka Geepers, was an LDR rescue.  She was called Peepers because she was always hiding.  All you could see were her eyes peeping from under her bed.  She took to our home like a fish to water.  We couldn't resist her great personality so we ended up adopting her ourselves!  As you can see she has flourished since settling in our home.

Get Involved as a Foster

Open your home and save a Chi!  We rely exclusively on fosters to provide safe and loving temporary homes until a permanent home is found. The more foster homes we have available, the more Chi’s we can save. If you’re able to open your home to one of our rescue Chi’s, we’ll provide and pay for supplies, veterinary care and training support. To get started, please complete the foster application.

Chi Surrender

If you are considering surrendering your Chi, take a look at this article from the Tennessean Magazine, it's very interesting.  Please complete our Animal Surrender Form.
